If you have staining due to coffee or tea, red wine or smoking, or if you are just looking to brighten your smile, you may be a candidate for bleaching. Dr. Halbleib offers the NightWhite Bleaching System.

The process is very simple. Impressions are taken of your teeth and custom bleaching trays are fabricated. You will then have a subsequent visit several days later to pick up your custom trays, at which time you will be instructed how to use the bleaching solution. The bleaching process takes anywhere from three to seven days.

Some whitening systems are done in one appointment with immediate results. While this may be convenient, that method can be more costly as each time you want to “touch up” you have to pay for the whole service again. The NightWhite method allows you to use your bleaching trays over and over again with minimal cost for the bleaching material.


Composite resin fillings, or “tooth colored fillings”, have been in use in dentistry for many decades. The science behind this material has advanced significantly and dentists are now able to offer a superior, stronger product. This product can be applied not only to anterior or front teeth, but has application to posterior or back teeth, as well. In some cases, resin fillings can replace silver fillings that were placed decades ago. Many minor cosmetic issues can be remedied with the application of composite veneers. Dr. Halbleib utilizes laser dentistry in his application of all composite fillings, often replacing the need for traditional drilling!



Have you ever wanted your teeth to look straighter but don’t want to suffer through the discomfort and expense of getting braces? You may be a candidate for cosmetic contouring. This is a technique in which the enamel shell of a tooth is polished to slightly change the shape or contour making the tooth appear straighter. No damage is done to the enamel. Not all misaligned teeth can be manipulated in this way, but slight changes in a tooth’s shape can make a drastic difference in your appearance. This can make your teeth appear straighter and more youthful.





Gingival contouring is a procedure in which the gum tissue is manipulated to change the height or shape. This is done in an effort to attain gingival symmetry or aesthetic appeal. Application for this treatment might be someone with very short or small teeth that wishes to make them longer. Someone with a “gummy smile” might be a candidate for this procedure or a patient with an asymmetrical gum line, where one tooth is higher or lower then all the rest. Dr. Halbleib uses a laser in this procedure to achieve superior aesthetic results. This gives the patient very little post operative discomfort and fast healing time.


Veneering or crowning teeth for improved cosmetics has been a procedure that has become very popular in recent years. This can make a drastic change in your appearance and even in your life. Your smile is often what people see first, and making it the best it can be is important. This procedure involves shaping or “prepping” the tooth, or teeth, for a ceramic shell that will be placed over the top of the tooth. An impression is then taken and sent to a laboratory for your custom made ceramics. Custom made temporaries are placed as provisionals and a subsequent appointment is then made approximately two weeks later for you to receive your new smile. You can change the shape, color, thickness, width, and height of any or all of your teeth. The possibilities are endless.


Shades and colors of teeth can vary drastically and are a very important part of cosmetic dentistry. There are a wide variety of shade ranges which can add to the complexity of choosing the perfect shade for you. Subtle undertones can make it difficult for imperfect eyes to identify the perfect shade. Dr. Halbleib uses a computerized shading system, Shade Vision, to help classify the color of your teeth in detail. This system allows the laboratory to get an exact match when fabricating your custom ceramics.


The complete package - Smile by Design, is a service offered to customize your smile using any and all of the aforementioned procedures. (teeth whitening, cosmetic contouring, composite fillings, gingival contouring, ceramic crowns). Each patient is consulted on an individual basis and evaluated for ideal aesthetics. Pictures are taken to begin the Smile by Design process. These pictures are then sent to a dental laboratory. The lab then digitally alters your appearance so that you can see your new smile before any treatment is done! This gives you peace of mind knowing beforehand what your results could be.
