
Dr. Halbleib is a bay area native, growing up in Santa Clara. He has
lived in Santa Cruz since 1986 and has practiced general dentistry
at his Capitola location since 1994. He has been married to Shannon
Halbleib (BSN,RN) for over twenty years. They have three children .
. . Johnathan, Braidan, and Shane . . . as well as two horses, two
dogs, three cats, and two guinea pigs.
Dr. Halbleib attended and graduated from Wilcox High School (GO WARRIORS!)
in Santa Clara. He graduated with a degree in Biology from the University
of the Pacific (UOP) in 1982, which led to his Doctor of Dental Surgery
(DDS) degree from one of America’s top ten universities, Emory
School of Dentistry in Atlanta, Georgia in 1986.

Dr. Halbleib and his staff are involved with several community charity
organizations. Every year he participates in the Santa Cruz Sunrise
Rotary charity bike ride with proceeds going to Santa Cruz public
schools. The main focus of his charitable work is on underprivileged
children. He does extensive dentistry on the homeless children enrolled
in the New Horizons school program. If you would like more information
